The Most Important Risk Assessment of
YOUR Career

Is the One YOU Complete on YOU

Remember a risk can be a threat or an opportunity and I want YOU to have all of the opportunities you desire.

Leading others without understanding yourself is like taking a trip with a destination and no directions. Why would you take that risk?

You will bounce from place to place and not know where you are. If you do not know where you are, how can you know how to reach your destination? YOU DON’T! You turn left and you arrive somewhere, but is it where you meant to go? You turn right and OOPS there is a dead end. Do you go north, south, maybe east or should you try going west? Maybe this would be acceptable if you were on the journey by yourself, but you are NOT. You are taking an entire team with you. They are going to understand a wrong turn or two, but they really expect YOU to navigate. They expect you to have a plan to your behavior and they expect you to have a mitigation plan for the threats you face and a contingency plan for when your approach does not work. If you do not understand yourself then at best you do not have the map you need to reach your destination and worst case, you do not even know your desired destination.

You need to know where you are coming from. What makes you tick and what makes you ticked off? Who you are is the basis for how you lead. Here is what ‘Mitigate Yourself: What to Do When the Risk is YOU’ is going to show you:

  • How to determine your temperament
  • How YOU resolve conflict
  • To what degree are you emotionally intelligent
  • How do you perceive yourself as a professional
  • How do you deal with difficult people
  • What is your communication style

You really will KNOW yourself, but YOU will not stop at knowledge. YOU are going to take action! You are going to:

  • Understand how others perceive you
  • Define who YOU want to be
  • Create your own self-risk management plan
  • Create your own project plan
  • Create your own strategies to deal with difficult people

This is not a QUICK fix, this is a comprehensive assessment and you should treat it as the long term project that it is,

Are you a Project Management Professional (PMP®) looking for Professional Development Units (PDUs)? Completing this program earns you 4 PDUs.
